Bus station ’t Oor is a key transfer point in Almere Stad, located in the province of Flevoland. Situated southwest of the Weerwater, the station has played a crucial role in the development of public transport in Almere.
History and Origin
The bus station was opened in May 1982 by transport company VAD, replacing the transfer stop at the Hollandse Brug. At that location, buses would make a loop, which explains the name ’t Oor (Dutch for “The Ear”). The original design featured an oval-shaped central platform resembling an ear. Since 2017, Keolis has been responsible for bus transport at this location.
Bus station ’t Oor is an important hub for bus routes within Almere and the Flevoland region. The station provides seamless transfer options to Almere Haven, Almere Poort, and Amsterdam.
